How to screenshot a whole page on iPhone in Safari

Take a screenshot in Safari
Open the web page and press the side button and volume up together (side button and Home on iPhones with a Home button).

Tap the preview
Tap the thumbnail that appears in the bottom-left corner before it slides away.

Choose Full Page
At the top of the editor, switch from Screen to Full Page. The strip on the right shows the whole page, top to bottom.

Save the PDF
Tap Done, then Save PDF to Files and pick a folder. The whole page is saved as one PDF.
The Apple full page screenshot is quick for articles, recipes and documentation. It has two limits: it saves a PDF rather than a picture, and it only works where the app offers the whole page to iOS — mainly Safari. The PDF lands in Files, not Photos, so it won’t show up with your other screenshots.
Whole page in any app
No Full Page button? Record the scroll.
Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, Settings, Notes and almost every other app only let you screenshot one screen. A screen recording sees the whole page as you scroll past it, so it works everywhere:
- Open Control Center and tap Screen Recording.
- Scroll slowly from the top of the page to the bottom, then stop the recording.
- Upload the video to the tool at the top of this page and save the whole page as PNG, JPG or PDF.
The status bar, the app header and the tab bar appear once instead of on every screen, and paused frames are skipped. Everything runs on your iPhone — the recording is never uploaded.

How do I screenshot a whole page on iPhone?
In Safari, take a screenshot, tap the preview, choose Full Page and save the PDF to Files. In apps, where Full Page doesn’t appear, start a screen recording, scroll through the whole page, and upload the video to the tool on this page — it stitches the scroll into one long image.
What is the Apple full page screenshot?
It’s the Full Page option in the iPhone screenshot editor. When the screenshot is taken on a web page, iOS can capture the entire page — not just what fits on screen — and saves it as a PDF. It has been part of iOS since iOS 13.
Why don’t I see the Full Page option?
Full Page only appears when the app gives iOS the whole page to capture — mainly Safari. In Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, Settings and most other apps the editor shows only Screen. For those, record the scroll and make a long screenshot with this tool.
Can I save the full page screenshot as an image instead of a PDF?
Safari’s Full Page always saves a PDF. To get a PNG or JPG of a whole page, screen record yourself scrolling it and upload the recording above — you get one tall image you can save to Photos.
Where does a full page screenshot go on iPhone?
It goes wherever you saved it in the Files app (for example On My iPhone or iCloud Drive), not to Photos. Long screenshots made with this tool download as images and can be saved to Photos.
Is there a limit to how long the page can be?
Very long pages work in both. In this tool, an image taller than the browser allows is split into full-resolution parts, scaled into one picture, or saved as a single PDF — your choice.
