How to take a long screenshot on iPhone

Record the scroll
Open Control Center and tap Screen Recording. After the countdown, open the app and scroll slowly from the top of what you want to capture to the bottom. Tap the red indicator to stop.
No Screen Recording button? Add it in Settings › Control Center.

Tap “Choose a video” and pick the recording from Photos. Your phone reads the frames, finds where each one overlaps the last, and lines them up.

Does iPhone have a scrolling screenshot?
Only partly. When you take a screenshot in Safari, the preview offers a Full Page tab that saves the whole web page as a PDF. That option doesn’t appear in most apps — Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, Settings and most third-party apps only give you one screen at a time. There is no built-in iPhone scrolling screenshot that saves a tall image like Android’s.

Can iPhone take a long screenshot?

Which video formats work?
MP4, MOV and WebM. iPhone screen recordings (HEVC/H.265 or H.264) open directly in Safari on iPhone and Mac. On Windows, Chrome and Edge need Microsoft’s free HEVC Video Extensions to read HEVC files; if a file can’t be read, the tool tells you why.
Why is my long screenshot split into parts?
Browsers limit how big a single image can be — on iPhone about 16.7 million pixels, which is roughly 14,000 pixels tall for a full-width iPhone screenshot. Longer scrolls are split into parts at full resolution. You can also choose one image scaled down to fit, or download everything as a single PDF.
The stitched image has a glitch. How do I fix it?
Most glitches come from scrolling very fast, or from a video that fills the whole screen while you scroll. If the result shows a warning with a time range, check the image there; record that part again, scrolling slowly and steadily. If a header repeats or some content is cut, open Crop bars & format and adjust the top or bottom bar height.
Is there an extended screenshot on iPhone for web pages?
Yes, in Safari: take a screenshot, tap the preview, choose Full Page, then save the PDF to Files. It’s good for articles, but it saves a PDF rather than an image and doesn’t work in apps. For an image of anything else, use a screen recording and this tool.
Does it work on Android, iPad or a computer?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser, so you can also upload an iPad recording, or send the video to your Mac or PC and stitch it there. The iPhone is just where a long screenshot is missing the most.
